Baycare - The Harbor Behavioral Health Care
Institute
The Harbor Behavioral Health Care Institute is one of the largest
and most comprehensive non-profit community mental health and
substance abuse treatment centers in the State of Florida. Established
in 1971, the organization currently offers a variety of behavioral
health programs at over 30 sites throughout Pasco and Hernando
Counties. Its existing services include mental health and substance
abuse assessment; psychiatric treatment, crisis intervention and
stabilization; outpatient, and residential psychiatric and substance
abuse treatment; case management; intensive in-home counseling;
psychosocial education and rehabilitation, supported living; elderly
day care; vocational assistance; a Drop-In Center; pharmacy services;
HIV services; and substance abuse community outreach and prevention
programs. The Harbor provides treatment services to more than
18,500 individuals and also reaches an additional 12,500 individuals
through outreach and prevention efforts each year.
The Harbor will improve the health
of all we serve through community-owned health care services that
set the standard for high quality, compassionate care. We deliver
innovative, comprehensive services to individuals and families
in our community. Our continuum includes prevention, intervention,
treatment and recovery services consistent with our core values.
